Overview
C3604 (UNS C36000) is leaded free-cutting brass. The lead breaks chips into small pieces, so it machines faster and with better surface finish than almost any other metal.
It is the standard choice for turned fittings, connectors and small precision parts in volume.
Key Properties
Typical values from the MatWeb datasheet for Free-Cutting Brass, UNS C36000, H02 Temper, Flat Products. Machined parts take the properties of the stock they are cut from.
