Overview
316L is the corrosion-resistant workhorse of metal printing: acid resistance, very high ductility (55-58% elongation) and weldability make it the default for fluid-contact and marine-adjacent parts.
Our powder is sourced from an AS9100 / ISO 9001 certified supplier with full chemistry and particle-size certification per batch (15-53 µm).
Key Properties
Typical datasheet values; printed parts are anisotropic and XY-direction values are shown unless noted.
| Property | Value |

| Tensile strength | 89–92 ksi(約 614–634 MPa) |
| Yield strength | 72–73 ksi(約 496–503 MPa) |
| Elongation at break | 55–58 % |
| Hardness | 94 HRB |
| Layer resolution | 20 / 30 µm |
Typical Applications
- Medical technology
- Plant engineering and fluid systems
- Automotive components
- Mold components
Printing & Handling Notes
Parts receive stress relief as standard. More malleable than 17-4 PH — choose 17-4 PH when hardness outranks ductility.
