Overview
Inconel 625 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium superalloy known for exceptional resistance to seawater, acids and oxidation, and for keeping its strength at high temperature.
It is used where stainless steel fails: exhaust, chemical process and offshore hardware.
Key Properties
Typical values from the MatWeb datasheet for Special Metals INCONEL® Alloy 625. Machined parts take the properties of the stock they are cut from.

- Heat-exchanger parts
Machining Notes
Among the hardest materials to machine: severe work hardening and low cutting speeds. Expect the highest machining cost in the catalog.
