Ceramic White (BASF)

Overview

BASF Forward AM Ceramic White is a ceramic-particle-loaded 405 nm photopolymer that cures to a distinctive matte, stone-like surface straight off the printer — no paint or coating required.

Cured parts machine and finish more like soft stone or hard wax than rigid plastic, making it ideal for sculptural and architectural models where the ceramic aesthetic matters more than peak engineering strength.

Key Properties

Typical datasheet values; printed parts are anisotropic and XY-direction values are shown unless noted.

PropertyValue

Typical Applications

  • Architectural and sculptural models
  • Hand-finished art pieces and busts
  • Display and showroom prototypes
  • Interior-design and furniture models

Printing & Handling Notes

Cures at 405 nm; wash 30–60 s in IPA or 95% ethanol and post-cure 60–120 min. Low elongation (1–4%) makes it brittle — avoid impact loading and very thin features.
